The 60's
- 1961 Week 01 Chicago Bears W 37-13
If anyone can get me this game, I would just freak out! Also, I would be very interested in acquiring any full-game from 1961 to 1968 when the Vikings were victorious. View the complete list of games from '61-68 that fall into that category.
- 1969 Week 01 at New York Giants L 23-24
This is the Fran Tarkenton game where he was a New York Giant, and came into his old stomping ground and beat the Vikes in a huge upset.
- 1969 Week 11 at Detroit Lions W 27-0
Thanksgiving snow game. The Vikings clinched their second straight division with a shutout over Detroit, 27-0, at Tiger Stadium. That victory was the 10th in a 12-game winning streak, the longest in the NFL in 35 years. The game was played on Thanksgiving during a snow storm. Because of the condition, the Vikmgs only produced 173 yards of offense (88 rushing and 85 passing). Dave Osborn was the game's leading rusher (36 yards) and Vikings' leading receiver with two receptions for 27 yards. The most exciting play of the game was eary in the fourth quarter when JIm Marshall intercepted his only career pass, ran 30 yards, and then lateraled to Alan Page without even looking. Page went the last 15 yards for the score. The . ... Vikings finished the season with the NFL's best reecord at 12-2.
